Key of David Healing Ministries

After the interview (no matter the length)
we share with the client what we have discerned
through their answers and the promptings of the Holy Spirit.  We allow them the freedom to disagree with part or all of our assessment.  Where there is agreement, we move on to prayer.

Prayer: If, after sharing, the client receives what we have shared we then lead them in prayers of confession, repentance and forgiveness as the Lord leads.  Some of the prayers we lead them in, others we will pray over them.
The Session : This ministry has no set format.  This is a Holy Spirit led ministry and as such can take many forms.  I have ministered using this discipline in the altar, street ministry, Sunday schools, conferences, one on one, and corporately.  There is no hard fast rule for how it is to be done or how it will look.  The basic structure of the session does have some standard elements however.  These elements are the interview, sharing, and prayer.  No matter the depth of ministry these three remain.

The Interview: The interview can be as basic as “How can I pray for you?” or it can be quite involved, taking an hour or more to get at the deepest roots of the clients problems.  It all depends on how the ministry is being done and the setting.  As time allows as much information is gained as possible to allow the most freedom.  As we ask the questions we let the Holy Spirit guide us.  We listen not only to the client’s answers but also to the leadings of the Holy Spirit.  The Lord will give us insights as well as directing future questions.
Inner Healing and Deliverance is not, psychiatry, psychology, or therapy nor are they intended to take the place of these same.  Inner Healing and Deliverance is not an advice column or a help line.  It is NOT a self improvement program twelve step or otherwise.  Every client that sits before me is told that if they are seeing a doctor or other professional to continue to do so until said professional gives them the all clear.  Doesn’t this negate faith in the ministry received? Absolutely not.  This is in keeping with Jesus own ministry. Time and time again he told those who had been healed to go and show themselves to the priests and be declared whole.  I have clients share with their care provider what has taken place and to work with them in gaining that clean bill of health.

What Inner Healing & Deliverance are NOT!

You see those twists and knots represent the unrepentant and unforgiving areas of our hearts.  The rubber bands are the strongholds of demonic influence keeping usbound up trying to prevent the freeing power of the blood of Jesus from completing it’s work.

If you’re not familiar with the process,

I’ll explain it to you.  You take a plain

T-Shirt, then twist it, tie it all up in knots and put rubber bands around it.  Next you dip it in some dye.  Now if we call that T-shirt the heart of one who accepts Christ and we call the dye the blood of the savior then when it comes back out of the dye we would say, “Look it’s covered in the blood!”  And we would be right in saying this.  However, when we begin to loose the rubber bands, untie the knots, and unravel the twists we find all those areas the dye (the blood) didn’t get to.

 An Object Lesson:

Simply put Inner Healing is the evangelism of unbelieving areas of our heart.  When we accepted Christ as our savior we became new creatures according to Paul in Corinthians 5:17.  Therefore if any person is [ingrafted] in Christ (the Messiah) he is a new creation (a new creature altogether); the old [previous moral and spiritual condition] has passed away. Behold, the fresh and new has come! (AMP) and yet Paul also told us we were to walk out our salvation with fear and trembling –Phil 2:12.  and that we are not justified by this [not knowing of anything we are guilty of]; but He who judges is the Lord.(ICor4:4 NKJV) How then do we reconcile these statements?  I ask clients if they have ever tie-dyed a T-Shirt.

Deliverance is the casting away of those demonic influences.  Many believe that a spirit filled Christian can’t be afflicted with a demon despite the overwhelming evidence pointing to the contrary.  In fact the more we follow after Christ and his will for our lives the more opposition we will encounter.  This is not to say that the person is possessed.  In fact I can honestly say that at the time of this writing I have not ministered to anyone truly possessed of a demon.  I have however never encountered a Christian who wasn’t afflicted or oppressed in some way or other by some unclean spirit or another.  The degree or severity of influence of these spirits varies by individual but it is foolish to think that we can do the will of the Lord without opposition in some form.

To summarize then Deliverance is the removing of the rubber bands and Inner Healing is the unraveling of our hearts and the application of the blood to all of those areas we didn’t give him at salvation.  God won’t override our will and He won’t forgive us in areas where we haven’t forgiven.

Finally, Inner Healing and Deliverance is a process. Beginning with the first session the client embarks on a journey of freedom moving from glory to glory receiving more and more freedom as they go.  As my mentor often says, “None of us has arrived.  All we can say is we’ve left.”  All of us are walking our healing / our salvation out with fear and trembling.  For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.

What are Inner Healing and Deliverance?
Inner Healing is the closing of the spiritual doors that we have opened in our lives.  Deliverance is the casting away of the unclean spirits that have access to our lives, physically, spiritually, emotionally, and financially, because of those doors.

Imagine, you are watching television in your living room.  You look up to see a burglar ransacking the room; he is not paying you the least attention.  You determine that you are able to overpower the thief and evict him, throwing him out the front door.

Would it make much sense at this point to go back to watching television leaving the window the burglar used to enter, or the door you used to evict him standing wide open? No?  I don’t think so either.  The burglar would in all likelihood return with some friends, overpowering you and taking the house.  This scenario describes deliverance without inner-healing.

Likewise in the above scenario with the burglar ransacking the house does it make much sense to leave him to his business while you go throughout the house locking all the doors and windows?  No, the locks are only meant to keep burglars out, not in.  More likely than not he will go behind you and unlock them again to let his friends in and before you even realize what has happened you are overrun.  This scenario describes inner-healing without deliverance.

In the above examples we see that one ministry without the other is simply incomplete and results in a worse state than before you began.  Both are needed for freedom to occur.
